From October 1984, until I left private practice at the end of 2006, my practice was devoted almost exclusively to civil litigation. I have tried cases in each federal district court in the state, many counties in state court and in the N.C. Business Court. I have briefed and argued numerous cases in state and federal appellate courts. I have represented businesses, individuals and government entities in civil rights, premises liability, professional liability, business, construction, trade secret, employment, aviation, personal injury, insurance and other matters.
Since 1992, I have served as mediator for 100s of cases and have served as arbitrator for several dozen cases.
